Welcome
Hey there, thanks for showing interest in contributing towards the wiki. This will be a (hopefully) short guide to getting your bearings on how the wiki functions and how you can edit pages.
Getting Started
The Registration process has been changed from base Mediawiki, the long and short is that having a public-facing registration is a quick guide to destruction. Here is what you need to-do instead:
- Have an account on our Panel, to get one, request it from The Board on Discord
- Go-to the Bottom left, click the person icon and press "Sign-In"
- Log-in via the OpenID, this will likely be shown as "Log In Via Cloudron" or "Log In Via Doppler Panel"
Important Notes:
During the creation of an Account on our Panel, The Board member will ask for an Email to use for it, this is for password resetting reasons. If for whatever reason you are not comfortable with providing us a Email, we can just use a dummy one. For Privacy reasons, it's advised that you have an Email dedicated for SS13 stuff, the Email provided is ONLY visible by The Board on our panel backend, no other users have access to see it.
Editing the Wiki
How to Edit a pre-existing page:
In the top-right, you should see a "Edit" button, pressing this will take you to the Visual Editor (The Visual Editor is a way to edit the wiki without needing to resort to Wikitext, the custom markup MediaWiki uses. Not all things are possible via the Visual Editor, don't be afraid to get in the weeds with WikiText, you can simply search up a majority of what you are looking to-do.
