Port Authority

The Authority acts closely like an employee-owned company. It was established as part of a larger push in the Federal Senate to incentivize galactic colonization by decentralizing certain logistics chains. The company has an armed response branch including armed frigates and a handful of cruisers, but no military. The Board is elected by the union. They have colonized a number of systems before, and have worked with several different contractors. When not assisting in colonization efforts, they run cargo from major shipping hubs to more rural locations thanks to their ruggedized frontier vessels.
